Nuts are an amazing powerhouse when it comes to energy. Not only are they an excellent source of protein, they’re full of fibre, vitamins and minerals, and are easy to bring along anywhere. You can always mix together a handful of raw nuts to make a trailmix, but these coconut honey roasted nuts keep it flavourful and add a touch of sweetness to keep them from becoming a boring snack. I’ve suggested four of my favourites in this mix, but feel free to change it up with whatever nuts you like. Just remember to allow your body some time to digest before vigorous activity. A snack like this, which is high in protein and fibre, can sit in your belly like a brick. This is an excellent snack for recovery.
