GRAHAM FRASER
The Renaissance Man Mid-1990s to Late 2000s
In the early 1990s financial issues almost resulted in the collapse of Ironman Canada and Ontario’s Graham Fraser purchased the race. It was in the following years the race grew considerably and participation numbers skyrocketed. Fraser used his successful experiences in Penticton to expand the Ironman brand across North America. Although Fraser’s affiliation with Ironman Canada has ended, his ties to the Okanagan have continued as the owner of the local junior hockey team, the Vees. Beyond the world of sports, Fraser is exploring his creative side in the film industry, as the owner of Suitcase Charlie Films.
