Johnson chosen candidate for local Liberal association in next provincial election
Craig Johnson has been chosen by the Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River Liberal Association to be their standard-bearer for the next provincial election.
Johnson, an executive director of a non-profit and a community volunteer, was nominated on Thursday.
He defeated fellow candidate Barry Mellish at the nomination meeting, held at the Best Western Glengarry. Approximately 225 people attended.
Johnson is chairman of the 2016 Nova Scotia Music Week Host Committee; treasurer/chairman of finance for First United Church; treasurer of the Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River Liberal Association; and Chair of the Provincial Exhibition Marketing Committee. He also serves on the Truro Showcase Film Festival Committee and, in 2015, founded the Truro-One Act Play Festival with his wife Jennifer.
