Two ar­rested af­ter third raid at Tasty Budd’s

LOWER SACKVILLE — A 45-yearold man and a 19-year-old man face five charges each in re­la­tion to an RCMP raid at Tasty Budd’s in Lower Sackville on Thurs­day. Hal­i­fax Dis­trict RCMP say of­fi­cers con­ducted a search war­rant as part of an on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tion into il­le­gal sale of drugs. RCMP seized mar­i­juana, shat­ter, hashish, cannabis oil and drug para­pher­na­lia. Both men face charges of traf­fick­ing in a con­trolled sub­stance and pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance, traf­fick­ing in a con­trolled sub­stance and pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, and pos­ses­sion of prop­erty ob­tained by pro­ceeds of crime.

Both men were re­leased on con­di­tions and will ap­pear in Dart­mouth pro­vin­cial court on Oct. 25.

Last Fri­day, RCMP raided five Tasty Budd’s stores and four homes, lay­ing 69 charges against nine in­di­vid­u­als.

Po­lice raided the Cole Har­bour Road dis­pen­sary again Tues­day af­ter the busi­ness had re­sumed op­er­a­tions.
