Mum passed away peace­fully Sept. 24, 2017 at Colch­ester East Hants Health Cen­tre, Truro.

Mum was born in Hal­i­fax, she grew up in Two Is­lands near Parrs­boro. She was the daugh­ter of the late Louis Bay­ers and Har­riet Bardsley; step­daugh­ter of the late Leo Pat­ter­son.

Sur­vived by sons, Dar­rell (Barb), Lon­don­derry, Ray­mond (Carolyn), Truro Heights, Brent, Bel­mont; daugh­ters, Darlene (Win­ston Spicer), De­bert, Heather, Bel­mont, Rosalie, De­bert; son-in-law, Dale Pow­ers; daugh­ter-in-law, San­dra Works; adopted sis­ter, Gina Clark, Green Hill.

Gram thought the world of her 22 grand­chil­dren; nu­mer­ous great­grand­chil­dren and great-great grand­chil­dren. Aunt He­len will also be missed by nu­mer­ous neph­ews and nieces, whom she adored.

Pre­de­ceased by hus­band, Charles Al­bert, daugh­ters, Mar­i­lyn Grif­fin, Myrna Pow­ers; son, Lawrence; broth­ers, Mick and Pud; sis­ters, Ger­tie, Mag­gie and Mar­guerite in in­fancy.

Mum spent the last five years at The Mira, which she con­sid­ered home. She loved read­ing, bingo, game shows and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Her favourite pas­time was spend­ing time with her fam­ily. Mum had a great sense of hu­mor and was al­ways ready for a good laugh.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Thurs­day, Sept. 28 from 6-8 p.m.; Cel­e­bra­tion of Life ser­vice on Fri­day, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m., both in Colch­ester Com­mu­nity Fu­neral Home, 512 Wil­low Street, Truro. In­ter­ment in Ro­bie Street Ceme­tery.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to the Canadian Cancer So­ci­ety.
