Laval football player suspended for head hit
MONTREAL — A Laval University football player who injured an opponent with a hit to the head has been suspended.
But it was not the one who hit Concordia Stingers quarterback Trenton Miller. Defensive back
Kevin McGee was suspended one game for a hit that attened receiver James Tyrrell late in Laval’s 12-8 home victory last week.
A hit by defensive back Gabriel Ouellet that rattled Miller was left unpunished.
Laval issued a statement saying it would not appeal the decision made by the FSEQ, the body that oversees high school, college and university football in Quebec.
