Edith Uta “Edie” Lemon - 81, Val­ley, passed away peace­fully on Tues­day morn­ing, Septem­ber 25, 2018, at Colch­ester East Hants Health Cen­tre, Truro.

Born in Fort Belcher, Colch­ester County, she was a daugh­ter of the late Wil­liam “Bill” and Mar­garet (Hig­gins) Stone.

Edie was a won­der­ful wife, mother and grand­mother who was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. She was the life of a party, fan­tas­tic cook, en­joyed shop­ping and had a soft spot in her heart for an­i­mals, es­pe­cially her dog, Smirnoff and her cat, Car­olina. Edie was the last sur­viv­ing mem­ber of her im­me­di­ate fam­ily and is sur­vived by her hus­band of 58 years, Vic­tor Allen Lemon; chil­dren, Lester Stone, Ox­ford; Doug Lemon (Donna Mac­nutt), Terry Lemon (Cindy Sell­ers-Lemon), Vickie Lemon, Joy Lemon, all of Val­ley; step­grand­daugh­ter, Shan­non Sell­ers, Val­ley; sis­ter- in- law, Vern Stone, Hal­i­fax; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Along with her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her sib­lings, Rus­sell ( Lois) Stone, Bud Stone, Cyn­thia (Herb) Daniels, Kay (Wayne) Math­e­son. Pri­vate grave­side ser­vice was held in Cross­roads Ceme­tery, 110 Salmon River Road, Val­ley, Rev­erend Va­lerie Kings­bury of­fi­ci­ated.
