The Bri­tish are com­ing!

The de­coste Per­form­ing Arts Cen­tre is wel­com­ing award­win­ning Bri­tish folk group, The Young’uns back to the stage this week.

The group spe­cial­izes in singing un­ac­com­pa­nied with their per­for­mances of tra­di­tional shanties, con­tem­po­rary songs and some of their own orig­i­nal works, in­clud­ing You Won’t Find Me on Ben­e­fits Street and The Bat­tle of Stock­ton. They’ve twice won the BBC Ra­dio Folk Award for Best Group.

The con­cert is this Fri­day, Oct. 5 at 7:30 pm.

The trio share hu­mor­ous sto­ries and ban­ter dur­ing the per­for­mance which adds to the en­ter­tain­ing evening.

The group was at the de­coste in 2017 and were very pop­u­lar with pa­trons.

Tick­ets are $25 and $22 for mem­bers and can be ob­tained by con­tact­ing the box of­fice at 902-485-8848, on­line at www. de­coste­cen­ or in per­son at 99 Wa­ter St., Pic­tou, N.S.

Tick­ets will be on sale up to the per­for­mance.

Doors open at 7 pm.


The Young’uns re­turn to the de­coste stage this Fri­day at 7:30 p.m.
