Fur­midge’s shootout goal lifts ’Cats to vic­tory

TRURO, N.S. — An­dyn Fur­midge scored in a shootout to give the Truro Bearcats a 4-3 vic­tory over the Bed­ford Barons in Nova Sco­tia Ma­jor Ban­tam Hockey League ac­tion last Satur­day.

With the win, the Bearcats im­proved their record to 3-0. Mitchell King, Ai­den Tucker, on a power-play, and Ai­den Fisher scored other goals for the Bearcats, who di­rected 22 shots at Barons goal­tender Noah Blan­chard. Fur­midge had two as­sists.

Cole Des­rosiers faced 26 shots in the Truro net.

The Bearcats are o this week­end but re­turn to ac­tion on Sept. 13 when they host the All Credit Auto Rangers for a 4 p.m. puck drop at the RECC. On Sept. 14, Truro vis­its South Shore for an 11 a.m. start.
