With the an­nual At­lantic Breed­ers Crown cham­pi­onships and the At­lantic Clas­sic Year­ling Sale in full swing this week­end on P.E.I., Truro has moved the reg­u­lar Fri­day evening race pro­gram to Mon­day, Oct. 8 with a 1 p.m. post-time.

Septem­ber re­sults

Horse­man Dar­ren Crowe topped two di­vi­sions and part­nered in a third to sweep the Septem­ber Clarence Farm Ser­vices Ltd. cat­e­gories.

Dar­ren sur­passed all on the leader­board with 59 points and six rst-place nishes in 21 starts to cap­ture Cool Driver recog­ni­tion while also nab­bing Septem­ber’s lead­ing trainer, pick­ing up 51 points in 16 starts over near­est ri­val Ge­orge Ren­ni­son, ac­cu­mu­lat­ing 36 points for the month.

Hot Horse accolades went – for the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive month – to the sea- soned 14-year old pacer, Mon­treal Phil, for con­nec­tions Dawn El­lis and Je El­lis and con­di­tioner Dar­ren Crowe. Three reg­u­lar con­tenders tied for sec­ond in the Hot Horse group, each ac­cru­ing 14 points – Just Wave Good­bye for David Mac­don­ald and Steve Mor­ton, Drag­ons Fire for Peter Jar­dine and Vir­gina Merner and Only One Star for An­thony Stymest, Ken Hardie and Don Ling.
