Murdock’s hat trick leads Wildflower to victory

TRURO, N.S. — Amy Murdock netted a hat trick to pace Wildflower Apparel and Promotiona­l Products to a 5-1 win over Truro Nissan in recent Colchester Women’s Recreation­al Hockey League action. Brooklyn Bishop and Rachael Kinch each added single markers for the winners, while Heather Pothier had two assists and Kaitlyn Anderson and Tracey Murdock chipped in single helpers.

For Truro Nissan, Kaitlyn Monroe was the lone shooter able to solve Wildflower goaltender Miriam Gordon. April Mackay assisted on the goal. In other recent action, Gutter Done and Stuart Kia skated to a 5-5 tie.

Erin Crowell and Chelsey Campbell each scored twice for Gutter Done and Ashley Weatherbee had a single. Assists went to Rachel Devries, Jackie White, Crowell, Adrienne Martin, Jackie Johnston and Ellie Shipley-landry. Scoring for Stuart Kia were Terri Ferguson, with two, Anita Fisher, Erin Dillon and Sarah Ritcey. Assists went to Fisher and Ferguson. Jaimie Saxton stood between the pipes for Gutter Done and Gordon stood tall for Stuart Kia.
