Spiritual side on display at the Marigold

Theatre-goers can channel their inner psychic at George Leblanc’s show on Nov. 7

Psychic George Leblanc will bear messages of hope from deceased loved ones when he takes the stage at the Marigold Cultural Centre next month.

Leblanc, a certified medium and author, will take the stage Nov. 7. He will start off by meditating before channeling spirit messages from loved ones to audience members in a manner billed as discreet.

Beyond his shows, Leblanc is also a teacher who helps people discover their natural psychic abilities through a series of courses called Understand­ing Your Psychic Connection and The World of Mediumship Certificat­ion Program.

Leblanc’s show runs 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and tickets are $33. Those under the age of 18 wishing to watch the show must be accompanie­d by a parent or guardian.

The Colchester Sports Hall of Fame highlights the past achievemen­ts and successes of local athletes, teams, coaches, and builders.

This year’s inductees are Sue Kaye, Stephen Locke, the 1968 Truro Trojan Midget Football Team, Becky Bell Routledge and Terry Baker.

JIMMY RANKIN (Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m. Sold Out)

Folk rock maestro Jimmy Rankin is playing to a sold-out crowd with his authentic East Coast sound, having moved back to Nova Scotia after seven years in Nashville.

His new record titled Moving East is full of gritty pub tales and soulful ballads, all featuring storytelli­ng through song.

“With Moving East, I was trying to distill the fabric of Maritime culture into a musical collection, replete with life’s highs and lows, and breathe life into stories that capture a feeling, a moment in time, live off the floor and organic,” said Rankin as quoted on the Marigold’s website.
