Truro cham­ber to host info ses­sion on cannabis

Em­ploy­ers seek­ing in­for­ma­tion on how to deal with work­place is­sues re­lated to cannabis, are en­cour­aged to at­tend an in­for­ma­tion ses­sion on Dec. 3.

The free panel dis­cus­sion is be­ing hosted by the Truro & Colch­ester Cham­ber of Com­merce on Dec. 3 at the Best Western Glen­garry ( 11: 30 a. m. to 1 p. m.).

This ses­sion is in­tended to give em­ploy­ers an op­por­tu­nity to ask ques­tions and find out in­for­ma­tion they re­quire when it comes to cannabis in the work­place.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Oc­cu­pa­tional Health and Safety, Labour Stan­dards and the Hu­man Rights Com­mis­sion will par­tic­i­pate in the dis­cus­sion.

Guest speak­ers are: Kym­berly Franklin, a solic­i­tor with the Hu­man Rights Com­mis­sion; Starla Shep­pard, Labour Stan­dards Of­fi­cer; and Scott Nauss, se­nior direc­tor of In­spec­tion and Com­pli­ance with the Oc­cu­pa­tional Health & Safety Di­vi­sion.
