Truro’s Lau­ther named to CFLPA all-star team

TRURO, N.S. – Truro’s Brett Lau­ther has been named to the Cana­dian Foot­ball League Play­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion all-star team. The 28-year-old place­kicker for the Saskatchewan Roughrid­ers had a break­out sea­son in the CFL in 2018, nail­ing 54 of 60 eld goal at­tempts for an as­tound­ing 90 per cent suc­cess rate.

Lau­ther’s long­est eld goal was from 56 yards, and he racked up 198 points.

Mem­bers of the CFLPA’S all-star team were voted on by more than 400 league play­ers. Also, Lau­ther has been se­lected a West Di­vi­sion all-star by the vot­ing mem­bers of the Foot­ball Re­porters of Canada from the West Di­vi­sion mar­kets, the Na­tional Chap­ter and the West Di­vi­sion head coaches.
