Ma­jor ban­tam Bearcats set­tle for week­end split

TRURO, N.S. — The Truro Bearcats split games last week­end in the Nova Sco­tia Ma­jor Ban­tam Hockey League.

The Bearcats edged Kings Mu­tual 3-2 in a shootout on Satur­day be­fore a 3-2 loss to Pro Hockey Life Storm on Sun­day.

In the win, An­dyn Fur­midge scored the game-ty­ing goal with 1:40 left in reg­u­la­tion time.

Bryson Cur­rie had the other goal for the Bearcats and Ni­cholas Mar­shall and Philip Bal­lard had as­sists. Truro goal­tender Cole Des­rosiers faced 24 shots.

On Sun­day, the Storm scored two unan­swered goals in the third pe­riod to come away with vic­tory.

Brooke Thom­son and Bray­den Sch­mitt scored for Truro and Cur­rie, Ai­den Tucker and Nick Xi­dos had as­sists.
