Wildlife cen­tre can use re­tired Christ­mas trees

HILDEN, N.S. — Some of those once brightly-dec­o­rated Christ­mas trees can serve an­other pur­pose af­ter the Christ­mas ex­cite­ment has died down.

The Cobe­quid Wildlife Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tre can use ever­green trees, with all dec­o­ra­tions re­moved. The trees are placed in en­clo­sures for birds to perch on, and for the ea­gles to haul around.

Trees can be dropped in front of the large, round en­clo­sure – the Jee­z­ley – at 2220 Ir­win Lake Road, in Hilden.
