Woman arrested for Stewiacke bomb threats

Police have arrested a 33-yearold woman for making bomb threats directed at a Stewiacke business.

e threats were made to the same business on Nov. 25, Dec. 25, and Dec. 27 and indicated both the business and personnel could be in harm’s way.

As a result, Colchester County District RCMP responded and other emergency services, including re and EHS were also dispatched to the scene.

The business was evacuated until searches were completed by police explosives and K-9 units.

On Dec. 27, the RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Stewiacke.

The female suspect was arrested at the residence without incident and is facing three charges each of mischief and uttering threats.

e woman was released and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on March 20, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
