Great horned owls

Great horned owls are greybrown and have long, earlike tufts and bright yellow eyes.

They weigh 910 to 2,500 grams (32.1 to 88.2 oz.) and have a wingspan of up to 145 cm (57.1 in.). They hunt rodents, frogs, hare, and crows, and have been known to attack birds as large as falcons and osprey.

The oldest known great horned owl was at least 28 years of age.
