Age 74, of Brook­field, passed away May 14, 2019, fol­low­ing a short bat­tle with can­cer.

Born in Truro, she was a daugh­ter of the late Earl and Eve­lyn Rec­tor. Weaty lived in Brent­wood all of her mar­ried life and was a hair­dresser in her younger years. She loved peo­ple and would al­ways lend a help­ing hand. Her hob­bies were tole paint­ing and bingo. Sur­viv­ing are her son, Troy (Char­ity), Vic­to­ria, BC; grand­daugh­ter, Ha­ley, Cal­gary; all of whom she dearly loved. She is also sur­vived by her brother, James (Betty) Rec­tor, Truro. She was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, Ken­neth. Cre­ma­tion has taken place un­der the direc­tion of Ari­mathea Funeral Co­op­er­a­tive, Up­per Musquodobo­it. In keep­ing with Weaty’s wishes, there will be no vis­i­ta­tion or funeral ser­vice.
