Truro man jailed for refusing police instructions
TRURO, N.S. – A Truro man was sentenced to 30 days in jail after pleading
guilty in provincial court to refusing to get into a police vehicle when requested.
Travis Leonard Kettle, 35, of Young Street was also fined $1,000 and lost his driving privileges for one year for failing the breathalyzer.
The jail sentence is in addition to time currently being served on other offences.
Kettle, who also pleaded guilty to breaching a court undertaking by drinking while ordered not to, must adhere to a probation order when he is not in custody.
