Clint Black set to perform in Truro
TRURO, N.S. – American country star and Grammy Award winner Clint Black is hitting the stage in Truro.
Organizers at the Ratheastlink Community Centre are expecting “another packed house of music fans,” for Black’s June 5 performance.
“Clint Black is a country music legend, and the definition of a world class musical act,” said Mike Smith, director of partnerships and communications at the RECC.
Black will play fan favourites such as “Killin’ Time”, ‘Better Man’, “A Good Run of Bad Luck” and “When I said I do”, among his other songs.
Opening for Black is Canadian group Tim and the Glory Boys, led by Juno Award-winning Tim Neufeld.
Smith said Black’s show in Truro, one of two in Nova Scotia, shows the RECC is becoming a popular venue for both major sporting and music events. Black will perform at Sydney’s Centre 200 on June 3.
Another premier event being hosted by the RECC is the International Ice Hockey Federation 2020 World Women’s Championship, March 31 to April 10. This competition will run in both Truro and Halifax.
Pro skater Tony Hawk and BMX expert Mat Hoffman will put on a gravity-defying show May 15-17 at the RECC. Black’s June 5 show starts at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14. They start at $55.75 and can be purchased at ticketpro.ca or by phone at 1-888-311-9090.
