CBA Tigers earn U12 pro­vin­cial bronze

BI­BLE HILL, N.S. – The Truro-based CBA Tigers cap­tured the bronze medal at the Bas­ket­ball Nova Sco­tia U12 Divi­sion 3 boys cham­pi­onship last week­end.

The Tigers de­feated the Main­land Ex­press in the third-place game dur­ing the cham­pi­onship tour­na­ment held at Dal­housie Agri­cul­tural Cam­pus. CBA fin­ished first in its pool fol­low­ing the pre­lim­i­nary round, but lost a semi­fi­nal cross­over to the Pic­tou County Light­ning.

Pic­tou County won the ti­tle af­ter a vic­tory over the Prospect Bulls in the gold-medal game.

Eight teams took part in the tour­na­ment. Oth­ers in­cluded St. Mar­garet’s Bay Slam, Dart­mouth Celtics, Antigo­nish Ju­nior X-men and the West End Steel­ers.
