- BY SARAH MILLMAN

TRURO – In cooperation with the Truro police and fire services for their upcoming battle on ice, Cobequid Educational Centre’s student council is collecting food donations tonight.

From 4 to 8 p. m., students will be walking door- to- door for donations for the Colchester Food Bank. Students collecting donations will be wearing orange student council shirts.

The goal is to collect enough food to fill a Truro Police Service truck. People can also drop donations off at the school between 8 a. m. and 8 p. m.

The food drive is in support of the upcoming hockey game between the two services.

The event will take place March 13 at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre, and will support the Children’s Wish Foundation, Colchester United Way, Truro Boys and Girls Club, Heart and Stroke Foundation and CEC safe grad.

Tickets are $ 10 each or four for $ 30, and are available at the door. Game time is 7 p. m.
