Stanley Francis Campbell – Age 56, of Shortts Lake/Halifax/Main a Dieu/Cape Coral. Stanley passed away unexpected­ly on Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2016.

Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Ignatius Campbell and Margaret, brother of Lawrence (Heather) and Mary (Peter).

Stan loved the sea and enjoyed his 25-year career in the Canadian Coast Guard.

He was known for his sense of humour, time on the water, and always being there to provide help when needed. Stan loved to travel and enjoy time with his family and friends. It was never a dull moment with Stan, and he was known for his lobster boils on the lake, boating and helping those in need.

Stan is survived by his wife Bonnie MacPhee (originally from Port Hood), his daughter Jennifer Fraser and son Matthew Summerall and many beloved siblings, in laws, cousins, nephews, and nieces, and oh so many friends around the world!

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro on Thursday, Aug. 25 from 6-8 p.m. as well as service in Sydney in S.W. Chant Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiatin­g.

Family flowers only please; instead please send donations to the SPCA in memory of Trini, his beloved dog who passed in January.
