Kenneth Ervin McKeen

McKEEN, Kenneth Ervin, 71, Pugwash, and formerly of Truro Heights, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash.

Born in Chaswood, he was a son of the late Milton and Edith (Fisher) McKeen.

Ken was a transport driver having driven for various companies. He was a member of the Truro Gospel Hall. He formerly owned and operated a scuba diving shop where he also taught scuba diving. Ken was well-known for his great sense of humour.

He is survived by his wife Esther May (McCracken) McKeen; his children: Paul (Angela), Karen, Scott, Patrick (Jill), Rebekah (Justin), Victoria; several grandchild­ren; greatgrand­daughter; brothers, David (Judy), Allan (Cinda); sister Ruth (Late Marvin); several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predecease­d by his first wife Mary Louise Dykeman; second wife Susan MacIntosh.

Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will be Friday, March 31 from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m.

Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the East Cumberland Lodge Recreation­al Fund or to the Parkinson’s Society.
