Masstown Hardware slips past Pirates

Carter Davis knocked out three hits, including a homerun, to lead the Masstown Hardware Tide to a 7-5 victory over the Pirates in the peewee/bantam division of the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Associatio­n.

Michael Peters and Kohl Lockhart each added two singles for the winners.

Pirates pitcher Lucas Kelly struck out six. At the plate, Tristan Gloade led the Pirates with a pair of hits.

Blue Jays 14 Yankees 4

Isaac Crowe, Will Bowers and Gage Pratt were strong on the mound for the Blue Jays, while Steven Curren, Dylan Sloan, Crowe and Pratt stroked singles and Will Bowers had an insidethe-park homerun.

Pitching for the Yankees were Sam Walker, Luke Taylor, Zach McNutt, Keegan Skinner and Nate Davison. Taylor, McNutt, Walker, call up Spencer MacLean, Dawson Gilbert and Davison all hit singles. Both teams made some great catches.

Mets 10 Red Sox 10

With a spectacula­r double play to end the game, the Mets and Red Sox settled on a draw.

Ryan Hennessy doubled for the Mets, while Jase Langille singled, doubled and scored two runs. Brody Porter added a pair of hits and scored three times.

For the Red Sox, Chase Upham made his pitching debut, Tristan Albert homered and Jacob Stinton played a great game as a substitute player and delivered a two-run double.
