-

The Dal AC Rams ran their unbeaten streak to four games with a win and tie over the weekend in Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association women’s soccer action.

On Sunday, the Rams blanked the St. Thomas Tommies 1-0 after a hard-fought 1-1 stalemate against the UNBSJ Seawolves on Saturday.

In Sunday’s match, both teams struggled in the heat and showed fatigue. The Rams hit the back of the net in the 74th minute when Cora Sharp took a shot, and Sian Rankin fired home the rebound.

The Tommies pressed in the remaining minutes, but couldn’t score the equalizer. The crossbar was a friend to both teams, and especially the Rams in the final minutes of the game.

Keeper Summer Nasr recorded the shutout.

On Saturday, the Rams opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Kaileigh Langille finished with a great shot to the far post with Shanice Maxwell assisting.

Marissa Ferris tied the game for the Seawolves in the 88th minute.

The Rams sit in fourth place with a 2-1-2 record.

In men’s action, the Rams picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, a 1-0 triumph over the Tommies in a physical match that saw five yellow cards issued.

The first St. Thomas infraction was in the penalty area and Rueben Geerts made no mistake on the penalty kick as he nailed the top corner for the lone goal of the game.

Rams Keeper Bailey Fraser stood on his head at times and recorded the shutout.

On Saturday, the Rams fell behind 3-0 in the first half and suffered a 4-1 loss to the Seawolves.

Gabe Vos scored for Dal-AC, which sits in sixth place with a 1-4-0 record.
