Mackay, Jane Susan, age 68, of Truro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bridgewate­r, she was a daughter of Phillip and Miriam (Wile) Dauphinee of Truro.

Jane is survived by her sons, Scott ( Crystal), and Bradley ( Krista); her four grandchild­ren, whom she loved dearly, Jack, Cohen, Brielle, and Hailey; brother, Andrew (Margaret Ann); sister, Joanne; sister-in-law, Isabel (Wilfred) Perry; nieces and nephews, Carol (Andrew) Cheyne, Mark (Marta) Dauphinee, and Connie (Mitch) Bird; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; grand- dog, Chloe. Jane is predecease­d by her loving husband, and best friend, Danny.

Jane enjoyed going for a nice walk, being an active member of the Brunswick Street United Church Choir, talking on the telephone, and spending the rest of her free time with her family and friends, whom she deeply cherished. Jane spent many years caring for children in her home, with each one leaving a lasting impression.

Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the Mattatall~varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro.

No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Brunswick Street United Church, 250 Brunswick Street, Truro, Rev. John Parsons officiatin­g. Reception to follow downstairs in the Dining Hall.

Interment will then be held in the Watson Cemetery East Prince Street Truro. Family flowers only.

Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciati­on to Dr. Cortney Smith and staff for the exceptiona­l care that Jane and family received.
