Indigenous Peoples Day was held on Thursday and many activities and ceremonies marked the event. LEFT: The Mi’kmaq flag was raised at the Truro police station. RIGHT: Dancing and drumming alike were part of the festivities during celebrations on Friday on Truro Heights Road. The event was held a day after the official Indigenous Peoples Day because of other activities scheduled on June 21.
