In a 4-3 win over the Grand Falls Rapids Sunday, he scored midway through the nal period, then scored the winner early in the OT session. That capped o a three-game weekend where the Bearcats needed a boost. He helped deliver it.
Kyle got his hockey start in the Tor Bay, NL program before a family move brought him to the Bedford Minor Association’s Major Bantam Barons. Next up were three years of major midget, the rst with Newbridge, then a pair with the Dartmouth squad. His team experienced two Telus Cup appearances and in his nal midget year he responded with 27 goals and 20 assists.
The 2016 Yarmouth pick split last year between the South Shore Lumberjacks and the St. Stephen Aces. The Bearcats acquired his rights from the Aces in August. Physicality makes some players dif cult to play against. So, too, does speed. The latter is a real asset to the Bearcats.
