Beatlemania coming to Truro’s Marigold
TRURO, N.S. – If you’ve endured a hard day’s night working like a dog, then sing your sorrows away with some help from the music of the Fab Four.
Beatlemania Revisited will bring the looks, sounds and excitement of the British quartet who came to define the Swinging Sixties for their June 13 show at Truro’s Marigold Cultural Centre.
The Beatles first formed in 1960 with band members John Lennon, Paul Mccartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, whose personas will be recreated in exact detail by Beatlemania Revisited. This includes 1960s vintage clothing and instruments, giving their fans an authentic taste of the time period.
Fifty years after their heyday, the Beatles remain the most commercially successful band in the history of pop music, with their recordings selling more than one billion units according to Guinness World Records’ numbers.
Beatlemania Revisited presents 35 songs, including I Want To Hold Your Hand, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday, Penny Lane, Hey Jude, Something, Let It Be and many other timeless favourites.
