Robbery suspects arrested in Bible Hill

BIBLE HILL, N.S. – Four individual­s wanted on suspicion of robbery in Halifax were arrested Saturday night in Bible Hill.

The suspects were arrested by Colchester District RCMP at approximat­ely 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 and were transporte­d to Halifax police headquarte­rs.

The arrests occurred after Halifax District RCMP received a report of a theft that had occurred overnight from a residence in the 1,000 block of Sackville Drive in Middle Sackville. A man stole a television from the residence and fled in a vehicle.

Inquiries by members of the General Investigat­ion Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigat­ion Division determined the incident was related to previous robberies, including:

• a break and enter from June 18 at East Coast Buy and Sell on Herring Cove Road in Halifax when a man broke into the business and fled with a number of electronic­s;

• a theft from TJ’S Grocery, Main Avenue, Halifax, on Feb. 3 when two men entered the store and stole a quantity of cigarettes and then fled the area in a vehicle;

• a robbery on Feb. 3 at the Needs convenienc­e store on Duffus Street, when two men wearing masks (one armed with a firearm), entered the store demanding cigarettes and money. The suspects left in a vehicle with an amount of cigarettes and money, in an unknown direction of travel. No one was physically injured;

• a robbery reported three minutes later on the same evening at another Needs convenienc­e store on Windsor Street, Halifax when two men wearing masks, with one armed with a firearm, entered the store and demanded money. The suspects left empty handed and fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction of travel. No one was physically injured.

Danial Gregory Roach, 22, of Dartmouth, is facing charges of break and enter, two counts each of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and robbery with a firearm, along with six weapons-related charges. He is also charged with two counts of breach of probation, and one each of breach of recognizan­ce and breach of a prohibitio­n order.

Myles John Benn, 21, of Middle Sackville, is facing two counts of robbery with a firearm, as well as charges of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and six other weapons-related charges.

Caitlyn Elizabeth Lethbridge, 25, of Dartmouth, and Brittany Catherine Roach, 24, of Halifax, are each facing two counts of robbery with a firearm.
