Last week saw torrential rains hit the province on Nov. 23 and 24 that caused flooding to various parts of the province.

The Truro area, however, fared far better than some areas, and nature enthusiasts were able to make the best of the rainy weather by going to bodies of water to see the effects on waterfalls, rivers, and ponds.

Victoria Park and Kiwanis Pond were particularly full. The raging water at Joseph Howe Falls was wild and deafening. The next day, it was snowing but the water levels remained strong.
