HALL, Darrell James

-

It gives me great sadness to announce the passing of my dear, beloved brother Darrell James Hall on February 8, 2024 at the age of 81. Darrell was raised in Truro and spent many years involved in a Pentecostal church on Waker in Truro. After graduating from Truro Academy, he attended college in Toronto, ON and obtained four different degrees. He had been married and had three children all which reside in the United States. He was a very caring and loving man and was devoted to God in a special loving heart as my older brother Darrell was always a shoulder to lean on and treated me so kindly during my whole life. He developed diabetes at the age of 11 and was I believe one of the oldest diabetics in Canada for his entire life. Darrell never ever complained about his health and kept a loving relationship with his Heavenly Father. In later year, Darrell meet a Christian family in Ottawa, ON, Larry, Maralyn and their family that treated him as their own and they enjoyed each other company. This was like his Christian home and felt close to this family. Darrell was predeceased by his dad on March 26, 1965 and mom on April 8, 2000. Darrell was very thankful for the leadership from his mom for his Christian life. He is survived by his three children, Sarah, Sharon, Abraham and his former wife. He also survived by his siblings: sister Carol Jean Waller of Truro and brother Brian William Hall in Yellowknife, NT. Darrell is resting at Torrance Funeral Home in Perry Sound, ON and will be buried in Bala Cemetery, an hour drive from Port Perry, ON. Darrell had spent time a little church in Bala when he spent a summer or so teaching there.
