Snow delaying spring clean-up in western Kings

Winter’s lingering wrath means that spring clean-up is being postponed in Annapolis and western Kings County.

Valley Waste said the delay was prompted by the large amount of snow remaining on the ground.

As a result, collection in “Zone A” will be shifted to the end of May. Residents normally collected as part of Zone A will now be collected on their regular collection day during the period of May 25 – June 5.

The affected areas include Annapolis County, the Town of Annapolis Royal and western Kings County, including Aylesford west of Victoria Road, Auburn, North Kingston and South Greenwood.

All other areas will be collected as scheduled in the 2015 Waste Management Calendar.
