Flying south

Kentville travel agent Deborah Chapman said that the long, difficult winter did prompt many local people to plan southern vacations.

“Bookings for trips south were really good this year. But there were also lots of challenges with delays and schedule changes due to bad weather,” she added.

She said people always complain about lack of communication from the tour operators when they are stuck in an airport waiting to leave or to return home.

“It’s always a minute-to-minute situation when weather causes delays and everyone does the best they can to get people where they need to be on time.”
