There will be a spring/ summer clothing giveaway on April 17 at the Centreville Baptist Church, 8:30-11:30 a.m. For further information, please call 902-678-3939 or 902678-1946. Donations of clean spring or summer clothing, bedding, towels and especially children’s clothing accepted at the church the week prior to the giveaway.

The Good Neighbour Club meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Centreville Hall on the first and third Thursday of the month, except July and August.

The Centreville 50 Plus Seniors will celebrate its sixth anniversary on April 15 and birthdays of the month will be celebrated with a light lunch and birthday cake. The membership continues to grow. Fun and games are enjoyed weekly at the Centreville Hall every Wednesday from 1:30-4 p.m. Come and bring a friend.

The annual Quilt and Rug Hooking Show and Sale will be held at the Centreville Baptist Church on May 8 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and May 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Quilt and rug registration will be held May 6, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The admission is a freewill donation. Come see the colourful display of quilts and hooked rugs.

A luncheon with dessert, $8, and supper, $10, is available on Friday and lunch with dessert for $8 is available on Saturday. The show and sale is sponsored by the Evening Workers Auxiliary. For further information, call 678-4472 or 678-2836.

The Park Association meets at the Centreville Hall on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. They welcome all residents of Centreville to join the group. Please remember to drop off your recyclables at the Enviro Depot, New Minas and make a deposit to the account for the park. If you have recyclables and do not have a way of getting them to the drop-off, call 678-0004.

The next Big Breakfast at the Centreville Hall will be April 18 from 7-10:30 a.m. Freewill offering. Choices include eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, toast, biscuits, tea, coffee and juice.

All used batteries, except car batteries, can be turned in at the Centreville Hall on Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and during the Big Breakfast.
