Har­vey, Maurice Allen – 79, of Kentville, passed away Mon­day, March 19, 2018 in the Val­ley Re­gional Hos­pi­tal, Kentville. Born in Steam Mill, Kings County, he was a son of the late Barry and Mar­garet (Ma­har) Har­vey. Maurice was an avid coun­try mu­sic fan and en­joyed singing and play­ing his gui­tar. He had a green thumb and loved gar­den­ing. He was also a peo­ple per­son and en­joyed talk­ing to ev­ery­one. He is sur­vived by his wife, Florence (Ferguson); four daugh­ters, Colleen (Harry) Myer, Prince Ed­ward Is­land; Sharon (Jessie) Lewis, New Mi­nas; Nancy Har­vey, Kentville; Sherry Har­vey, Kentville; a son, Barry, Kentville; two sis­ters, Eleanor Hag­gerty, Cen­tre­ville and Joan Aren­burg, New Mi­nas; a brother, James (Ber­nita), Wind­sor; five grand­chil­dren, nieces and neph­ews. He was pre­de­ceased by a sis­ter, Leota O’Con­nell; four broth­ers, Gor­don, Ken, Clyde and George; a brother, in in­fancy. Visi­ta­tion was held from 9:00 a.m. un­til the time of the fu­neral ser­vice and re­cep­tion at 10 a.m. Thurs­day, March 22, 2018 in the White Fam­ily Fu­neral Home, Kentville, Rev­erend Ju­dith Saun­ders of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Ceme­tery, Steam Mill. Do­na­tions in mem­ory may be made to the char­ity of your choice. Fu­neral ar­range­ments have been en­trusted to the White Fam­ily Fu­neral Home and Cre­ma­tion Ser­vices, Kentville.
