Masked men involved in robbery

Kings RCMP looking for two suspects after home invasion in Waterville

-

Kings RCMP are looking for two men after a home invasion and robbery in Waterville on Easter Sunday.

On April 1, just before midnight, police responded to a residence on Mill Street in Waterville. Two masked men had allegedly burst into an apartment, one of whom had a weapon in his hands. He demanded money from the occupants of the apartment, took a bag and a wallet owned by the victims, and both men fled the scene in a small, dark-coloured vehicle. They headed West on Mill Street.

The wallet was later located on the ground outside the home. Residents of another apartment in the building had also noticed the suspect vehicle in the area.

Police patrolled the area exten- sively but have not yet located the suspects or their vehicle. No one was injured during the incident but Kings District RCMP is asking for the public to help identify and locate the suspects in this investigation.

The first suspect is a man, approximately 20 years old, who is described as being tall and slim. He was wearing all black clothing at the time and his face was completely covered in a sheer, stocking- like face cover, and he was wearing gloves. He had a deep voice and was holding a weapon.

The second man was also wearing a mask and dressed in all black clothing. Police say he stood behind the first man and didn’t speak.

The Kings RCMP General In- vestigation Section is investigating and is asking anyone who has information about potential suspects in this incident to call Kings District RCMP at 902-6795555. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can also contact Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit tips by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
