Researcher seeking Catholic Burns relatives in the Windsor, Wolfville area

My family research has led me to Ste. Croix, Three Mile Plains, and the Windsor area in pursuit of my early family members.

If you think your family might be related to mine, I would very much enjoy meeting you when I am in Windsor and Halifax the week of Nov. 3-11.

Here is a brief outline of the facts: James Burns, born about 1798 in Ireland, and his wife Johannah Mulcahey, born about 1804, also in Ireland, arrived separately to the Windsor area in the 1820s.

They married in Windsor and had several children: Daniel, born 1836, and Patrick, born 1838, both attended the Curran School on King Street in Windsor; William, my relative, was born in 1842; James, born 1844; John, born 1845; Michael, born 1846; and Martin, born 1852. The family was Catholic and attended St. John the Evangelist Church in Windsor. Many of the family emigrated to the Cambridge/Boston area in the late 1880s but I would like to find the relatives who stayed in the Windsor area.

We believe James Burns had at least two brothers also in the area. Michael Burns lived in Hammond Plains with his family and immigrated about the same time. John Burns is the brother we believe settled in Horton Township, Kings County. All were Catholic families as well.
