RCMP Stuff a Cruiser fundraiser aims to stock Wind­sor’s food bank shelves

Wind­sor RCMP of­fi­cers are hop­ing the an­nual Stuff a Cruiser cam­paign will help fill the food bank’s shelves this Christ­mas.

Staff Sgt. Cory Bushell, the district com­man­der of the Wind­sor RCMP de­tach­ment, said RCMP of­fi­cers and Vic­tim Ser­vices vol­un­teers will set up at the Sobeys in Wind­sor on Dec. 8 for the fundraiser. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., peo­ple are in­vited to stop by the Em­pire Lane lo­ca­tion to help stock the shelves of the Matthew 25 Wind­sor and District Food Bank.

“This is al­ways a crit­i­cal time of year for food banks as we’re ap­proach­ing the hol­i­days,” said Bushell.

While they don’t have a set goal in mind in terms of how many non-per­ish­able food items they’d like to donate, he said they hope peo­ple give gen­er­ously. and stews)

• Canned veg­eta­bles and fruit

• Whole grain ce­re­als

• In­fant foods and baby for­mula

• Bath­room tis­sue and di­a­pers

• Per­sonal hy­giene prod­ucts
