Yuletide Open House —

At the Kings County Museum, 37 Cornwallis St., in Kentville from 10 a.m. until 3:30 .pm. until Dec. 7. Take a break from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the heritage hearth yuletide decoration­s. Bring your own brown bag lunch or treat or enjoy tea, coffee and a selection of sweets. Santa Claus will be here on

Friendly Neighbours Christmas Hamper Program — Applicatio­ns for Christmas Hampers are available at the following stores; Foodland, Coldbrook; Independen­t and Foodland, Berwick; Sobey,s Greenwood; Needs, Aylesford; Pharmasave, Kingston; Berts in Auburn. All applicatio­ns must be completed and returned to the store where picked up no later than Dec. 8. Applicatio­ns will not be accepted after that date.

• Breakfast with Santa — From 8-10 a.m. Cost: $7 for adults; $4 for children 10 years and younger. At the Kentville Lions Club. Menu: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, toast, juice, coffee or tea.

• Christmas Dance — With Matt Balsor, at the Kentville Lions Hall from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Cost: $8; there will be a 50/50 draw and spot dance. Info: 902-679-5861.

• Christmas Tea — From 11a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Forest Hill Baptist Church. Cost: $6. There will be a table of home baking.

• Craft and Bake Tables — At the Forties Community Centre, New Ross, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Homemade bread, pickles, jams and jellies. No admission. This is part of the New Ross Christmas Festival.

• Turkey Dinner and Supper — At the Forties Community Centre, New Ross, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and then from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Cost: $13 for adults; $7 for children five to 12 years; $3 for children and under five years. Info: 902-689-2612. Eighth Annual Christmas Open House Tour — From 4-8 p.m. Cost: $10 per person. Tour four homes, Green Leaf Enterprise­s and Kingston United Church, where refreshmen­ts will be served. All proceeds go to the church. • Country Christmas Music Show

— At 2 p.m. at the Wolfville Legion Branch 74, 310 Main St. Entertaine­rs include: Caroll Edwards, Chet Brown, B. J. McKay, Make Mine Country, Eugene Rafuse, Audley Pineo and Harold Hunt. Canteen and 50/50 draw. Admission: $5. All proceeds go toward Legion purposes.

• Pool — At 3 p.m. at the Berwick Legion. Cost: $3 entry fee; cash prize to winner.

• Souper Bowl Sunday — At the Berwick Legion. Opens at 2 p.m. A bowl of soup and bun for $5.

• Holiday Open House — From 2-4 p.m. at iBeautify, 100 Webster St. in Kentville. Refreshmen­ts, specials, prizes and more

• Christmas Carol Sing — At 2:30 p.m. at the Forest Hill Baptist Church. Valley Gardeners Monthly Meeting — At 7:30 p.m., at NSCC Kingstec, 236 Belcher St., Kentville. The speaker will be Amanda Muis Brown from Humble Burdock Farm. She will speak on the topic of decorating with natural materials. The group will also host its Christmas social. Bring your favourite holiday finger food. There will be carols and food.
