MacDon­ald, Ralph Mur­ray — 66, of Union Cor­ner, passed away at home on Mon­day, Nov. 26, 2018. Ralph was born in Wind­sor to the late Karl Gor­don and Jesse Frances (Harvie) MacDon­ald. He worked at Her­itage Memo­ri­als for 28 years. He en­joyed fish­ing, hunt­ing, darts, gar­den­ing, play­ing cards and spend­ing time with fam­ily and friends. Ralph is sur­vived by his daugh­ters, Teresa (Darcy) Miner, Three Mile Plains; Jodi MacDon­ald, Sault Ste. Marie; and his son, Tony (Tr­ish) Clark and fam­ily, New­port Cor­ner; grand­chil­dren, Kas­san­dra (Mark) MacDon­ald, Zachary and Brae­den Miner. Ralph is also sur­vived by long­time friend and care­giver, Hilda Di­mock. He is also sur­vived by his broth­ers, Ge­orge (Mar­i­lyn) MacDon­ald, Sackville; Larry (Sheila) MacDon­ald, Ber­wick; sis­ters-in­law, Shirley MacDon­ald, Louise (Jim) Phillips and Su­san Hatchard; as well as many nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides his par­ents, Ralph was pre­de­ceased by his lov­ing wife, Peggy (Hatchard); brother, Blaine MacDon­ald; sis­ters, Joy, Mau­reen (and her hus­band, Doug Shay); broth­ers-in-law, Her­man Hatchard; in-laws, Patty and Mil­lie Hatchard. Ar­range­ments have been en­trusted to DeMont Fam­ily Fu­neral Home & Cre­ma­tion Ser­vice, 419 Al­bert St., Wind­sor (902-798-8317), where the fam­ily re­ceived vis­i­tors from 7-9 p.m. Thurs­day, Nov. 29. A me­mo­rial ser­vice cel­e­brat­ing Ralph’s life was held at 11 a.m., Fri­day, Nov. 30 in the DeMont Fam­ily Fu­neral Home Chapel. Rev. Gar­net Parker of­fi­ci­ated. A re­cep­tion im­me­di­ately fol­lowed in the fu­neral home’s Elm­croft Re­cep­tion Cen­tre. Pri­vate fam­ily in­ter­ment was held. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions in mem­ory of Ralph may be made to Cana­dian Can­cer So­ci­ety, Brook­lyn Vol­un­teer Fire Depart­ment or a char­ity of one’s choice.
