Hilarious romp on now at CentreStage
Start off the new year with a laugh-a minute comedy from CentreStage Theatre. The 2019 season opener, Fox on the Fairway, is a farce from acclaimed playwright Ken Ludwig. A Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp, which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man’s eternal love affair with golf. The play is directed by Alan Tupper and the cast includes Ryan McNab, Danielle Lutz, Mike Jorgensen, Bob Cook, Mindy Vinqvist-Tymchuk, and Sandy Davison. Evening performances are Jan. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, and Feb. 1, 2, 8, 9, with matinee performances on Jan. 13 and 27, and Feb. 3. Front of House opens at 6:45 p.m. for the evening performances and 1:15 p.m. for the matinee. Tickets cost $15 for adults; $12 for seniors or students; and $5 for children age 12 years and younger. CentreStage takes cash or cheque only. Call 902-678-8040 for reservations.
