• Valentine Dessert Tea — At the North Alton Church “Arc” from 2-4 p.m. A freewill offering will be collected. There will be door prizes. Proceeds raised go to church work.

• Valentine Luncheon — At the Wolfville Ridge Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. It will be a chowder lunch with dessert and a baked goods table. Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children five years and up; free for children under five years.

• Soup’s On! — From 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market, 24 Elm Ave. in the DeWolfe Building, there will be a seasonal soup sampling, with the promise of handmade soup bowls galore. For every soup bowl purchased, $5 will be donated the S.O.U.P. (Sharing Our Underappreciated Produce). Free admission to the market.

• Breakfast — At the Aylesford United Church from 8-11 a.m. A freewill offering will be collected. Site is wheelchair accessible. Sponsored by the Committee of Stewards for church expenses.

• Big Breakfast — At the Wolfville and District Lions Club hall, 36 Elm St., in Wolfville, from 7-10 a.m. Menu consists of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, toast, coffee, tea, juice and homemade
