Windsor West Hants RCMP officers are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect in a hit and run in Windsor.

At 5:49 p.m. on Feb. 13, RCMP were dispatched to a single-vehicle hit and run in a restaurant parking lot on O’Brien Street.

A van was seen striking the front of Walkers Restaurant before speeding away. No one was injured in the hit and run.

Staff Sgt. Dave Ferguson said the exterior wall of the building received minor damaged.

Police said eye witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a blue van but they were unable to see the make, model or licence plate.

Ferguson said witnesses didn’t notice front-end damage to the vehicle.

“Nothing observed, however there could be paint transfer or cracks in the front bumper area,” he said via email.

Ferguson said police located a photo of the suspect vehicle, which was taken by a traffic camera. It depicted the driver travelling northbound on Highway 1, leaving Windsor.

The police are asking for the public’s help to identify the vehicle and/or driver.
