CUSTODY FOR MISCHIEF

Dylan Justin Leopold, 27, of Three Mile Plains, has been sentenced to jail time for two counts of committing mischief. One count involved damaging several windows and a television, the value of which did not exceed $5,000, and the other involved damaging a kitchen window, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

Leopold pleaded guilty to the charges on April 6. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek sentenced Leopold to 20 days in custody on each count, for a total of 40 days in custody.

Leopold committed the offences in Three Mile Plains on Jan. 14 and Feb. 12, 2021.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

Scott Murray Strong, 37, of Coldbrook, has been fined for having a blood alcohol concentrat­ion that was equal to or exceeding the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Strong pleaded guilty to the charge on April 7. Judge Christophe­r Manning fined Strong $1,000 and imposed a one-year driving prohibitio­n against him.

Strong committed the offence in New Minas on Dec. 3, 2020. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Strong gave breathalys­er readings of 90 and 90.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to operate was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was withdrawn.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

Timothy James Canavan, 56, of Coldbrook, has been fined for having a blood alcohol concentrat­ion that was equal to or exceeding the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Canavan pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 10. The court imposed a two-year driving prohibitio­n against Canavan and the matter was adjourned to April 7 to allow time for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and for sentencing. Judge Christophe­r Manning fined Canavan $2,500 and sentenced him to 18 months of probation.

Canavan committed the offence in Woodville on Oct. 20, 2020. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.

Canavan gave breathalys­er readings of 180 and 180.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to operate was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was withdrawn.

PROBATION OFFENCE

Tessa Davidson, 26, of no fixed address, has been fined for failing to comply with a probation order by entering the New Minas Walmart.

Davidson pleaded guilty to the charge on April 7. Judge Christophe­r Manning fined Davidson $50.

Davidson committed the offence in New Minas on Jan. 30, 2020.
