Kentville man charged with multiple sex offences involving underage girls
The Nova Scotia Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) has charged a Kentville man with sexual offences, some relating to underage girls.
A May 3 news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP states that, following a months-long investigation

On Feb. 7, the Nova Scotia HTU received a report of a 40-year-old man trying to obtain sexual services from two underage girls.

As investigators continued gathering information and evidence, it was determined that the man had purchased sexual services from a woman and had attempted to purchase sexual services from another woman.
Clarke has been charged
obtaining with three counts of sexual services for consideration; two counts of obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under the age of 18 years; two counts of luring a child and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking.
provincial Following a May 3 court appearance, Clarke was remanded in custody until May 5 for a bail hearing and election and plea.
Clarke was ordered to have no contact with the four female individuals that the charges relate to. The charges have not been proven in court.
The Nova Scotia HTU is made up of members of the Nova Scotia RCMP and Halifax Regional Police.
