Cody Reid Palmer, 27, of Torbrook, has been sentenced to time deemed served after pleading guilty to three charges.

They include failing to comply with a condition of a release order, to comply with electronic monitoring; failing to comply with a condition of a release order, to remain at or within 300 metres of his residence at all times; and resisting a peace officer with the RCMP engaged in the execution of his duty lawfully arresting Palmer by fleeing on foot from the area.

Palmer pleaded guilty to the charges on July 19. The matters were adjourned to allow time for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and for sentencing.

On Aug. 23, Palmer was granted credit at time-anda-half for 232 days spent remanded in custody, or 348 days. Judge Angela Caseley sentenced Palmer to one day in custody deemed served by his appearance in court and 12 months of probation on the three charges.

Palmer committed the offences in Torbrook between Jan. 18 and April 5. Several other charges were dismissed on Aug. 23. They include failing to comply with a condition of a release order, not to be within 1,000 metres of a certain address or any home, school, or workplace of two individual­s; another count of failing to comply with a condition of a release order, to comply with electronic monitoring; failing to comply with a condition of a probation order, not to associate with or be in the company of anyone with a criminal record; and intentiona­lly or recklessly causing damage by fire to a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck.
