Money Matters Canada’s largest community credit union has become unprecedentedly robust under Vrooman’s direction. Its assets increased by 6.6 percent in 2016 to $21.1 billion, and it topped last year’s list of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens. The latter designation is emblematic of Vancity’s growing attractiveness to values-conscious millennials, whose social and nancial concerns (not least of which is surviving in an evermore unaordable region) were the subject of a recent viral advertising campaign.
